In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful
For Those Who Are Incarcerated

IN OCTOBER in observance of the Million Man March, our first declared
Holy Day of Atonement and Reconciliation, we are asking those who are
incarcerated if they are able to fast from sun up till sun down, pray, and
reconcile differences with each other. We are asking that no one participate in
any sport or play, but focus on the need to atone and repent for whatever we may
have done to offend the Laws of Allah (God) and the laws of man.
We should seek the pleasure of Allah (God) on this day and we must resolve to
take an oath that we will turn away from the pursuit of evil and strive from
this day forward to be upright. Should one million or more Black men and women
in Federal Prisons, and the three and a half million Black men and women who are
in the Criminal Justice System make this decision, then, I am confident that
Allah (God) will empower us with His Spirit, and as Isaiah the Prophet has
declared that, the prison doors will open and the lawful captive will be set
free.
