Nation of Islam on death of Dr. Betty Shabazz

The following statement was released on behalf of the Nation of Islam by Chief of Staff Leonard F. Muhammad regarding the unfortunate death of Dr. Betty Shabazz:

"We join with the Black community and people of good will throughout the world in expressing our sadness and regret regarding the passing of Dr. Betty Shabazz. We pray that her life's work toward freedom, justice, equality and peace among men and women will continue among us, the living, as the most appropriate long-term response to her legacy. Our prayers continue to be with the Shabazz family."
