Meets with Leadership

Iran’s Supreme Leader, government and religious leaders meet with Minister Farrakhan

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is the highest ranking official in the country and serves a lifetime term of office. He met with the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and members of a Nation of Islam delegation, which recently visited the Islamic Republic of Iran.

TEHRAN, Iran—Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is the highest ranking official in the country and serves a lifetime term of office.

Audiences with him are extremely rare but the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan met Nov. 5 with the religious head of the Islamic Republic of Iran during a recent trip.

The Minister also held important meetings with major political and religious leaders, students and the media.

The audience with the Supreme Leader was especially important as part of the special meeting was devoted to the “role of martyrs in promoting spirituality among the nation.”

“Ayatollah Khamenei honored the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the holy shrines and dubbed their efforts as alerting to those who perceive it. He asserted: The young martyrs who go to defend the holy shrines these days—or those who have gone and have been martyred, including dear martyrs from Qazvin (an Iranian province)—their words, their actions, their moves, their memories and talks about them are all awakening and alerting,” reported the Supreme Leader’s official website, http://english.khamenei.ir.

Sultan Rahman Muhammad, student national imam of the Nation of Islam, explained that the primary purpose for the Minister’s Iran trip was that “he was guided by Allah to be with his brothers and sisters of the Islamic Republic of Iran at such a sensitive time when sanctions are being levied against the country.”

Imam Rahman Muhammad, who was part of the delegation that embraced and greeted the Supreme Leader, explained that the Minister felt the sanctions were an act of war. Min. Farrakhan wanted to warn the Islamic nations to settle their differences without allowing America, a foreign nation, to disturb their process. That was a consistent theme of his messages during the trip, he added.

Minister Farrahan in Iran

Minister Louis Farrakhan, of Nation of Islam, meets with Mohsen Rezaee, secretary of Iran's Expediency Discernment Council in Tehran. The council is part of the legislative branch of Iranian government.

Min. Farrakhan also warned Iranian officials about America’s intent to wage war and America’s failure to abide by agreements, Imam Rahman Muhammad said.

The meeting between the Supreme Leader and Min. Farrakhan was highly significant, he continued.  It represents the meeting of two theocracies, one founded in Iran, in the East, and connected to belief in the Great Mahdi, the major prophetic figure in Islam—and the other represented by Min. Farrakhan and established by Master Fard Muhammad, who the Nation of Islam believes is the Great Mahdi, in the West.

Iran sees itself as an Islamic revolution, not one limited to the country formerly known as Persia, but a revolution for all Muslims against tyranny, under the guidance of its late founder, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini. Iranians believe the Mahdi guided Imam Khomeini to found their revolution and their nation, Imam Rahman Muhammad said.

During the meeting, Min. Farrakhan declared the Mahdi and the Messiah, which the Nation believes is the Hon. Elijah Muhammad, are on scene, said the Nation of Islam imam. That’s important, he continued. It is like the history of Prophet Muhammad of Arabia, called to his divine messengership, sending a divine word to the rulers of Persia. The meeting called attention to the Iranian leader and others to the presence of the one they have awaited as the seat of Shia scholarship and power in the world, said Imam Rahman Muhammad. Shia adherents belong to one of the major schools of Islam. They dedicate study and devotion to belief in the appearance of the Mahdi.

In that meeting the Minister recited the teachings of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad and Master Fard Muhammad and declared their divinity and without opposition to or correction from the Supreme Leader, Imam Rahman Muhammad noted. The Supreme Leader encouraged Min. Farrakhan to keep teaching Islam in the West as he has done, he said.

Min. Farrakhan shared the Nation of Islam’s teaching about the Mother Wheel, a huge craft built to destroy America, and the foretold fall of America for her Satanic oppression of Blacks in America, Muslims and the darker people of the world, he added.

There is significance to the sacrifice and the Minister’s stewardship and rebuilding of the Nation over the last 40 years while Iran will celebrate the 40-year-old anniversary of its revolution in January 2019, said Imam Rahman Muhammad.

“Again in that context, the Minister was blessed by Allah to deliver the message that Al-Mahdi is on the scene and we are truly in need of a warning to avert the war of Armageddon,” said the imam.

Lastly, he added, the tone of the conversation was great, unity and love “was felt when we saw and were able to embrace the Supreme Leader, who embraced the Minister physically and the delegation was permitted opportunity to embrace him and shake his hand.”

These audiences are usually reserved for presentations, briefings or debriefings with the Supreme Leader with government officials, high ranking members of Iran’s legislature, municipal police and military officials or heads of state, said Imam Rahman Muhammad.

The Supreme Leader greets people after special prayers but no presentations are made, he added.

This is the highest level audience one could receive—especially on culmination of the pilgrimage “arbaeen,” in memory of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, a grandson of the Prophet who was killed in a seventh century dispute over leadership of the Islamic community.

The Minister also met with Mohsen Rezaee, the secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council, a legislative branch of the Iranian government in Tehran.

Muammar Gadhafi

Muammar Gadhafi

Part of his message was a very serious warning: “The government of America and what America I believe is planning against the government and people of Iran.  We have never been closer to war as we are right now,” warned Min. Farrakhan. “They never sleep. They’re working in Iran as we are speaking developing an internal enemy. It was the same with Muammar Gadhafi. The CIA was working in Libya with the disaffected Libyans from Benghazi that when America would attack, they wanted Egypt to attack Libya from the East and the assets of the CIA inside Libya would rise and kill Gadhafi and others.”

Min. Farrakhan added, “My dear brothers and sisters, I am so full because I have been blessed by God to know what they’re planning against Iran. Not that you don’t know it because you do, but I don’t know whether we are taking the proper steps to block their evil plans. … President Trump cannot chastise Muhammad Bin Salman (leader of Saudi Arabia) for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi because they’ve made a tremendous investment in the Saudi government in the friendship of Muhammad Bin Salman with Gerald Kushner, the son-in-law of President Trump.

“We cannot allow politicians who are trying to win friendship with Shaitan (Satan) to lead our nations because they can’t speak straight words because they want to compromise,” said the Minister.  “You cannot compromise justice. You cannot compromise truth. You cannot compromise righteousness.

“So the whole Islamic world must be called to repentance for putting the Holy Qur’an behind their backs as though Allah revealed something that has no merit in the modern time, in the modern world.”

“I felt very privileged what you said,” said Secretary Rezaee. “Your words came from your heart and mind, settles on the heart and mind. You speak with truth. We’re gratified and express much gratitude that you came at a sensitive time to our country. Your coming at this point and time shows that there’s no distance between us and you.

Imam Khomein

Imam Ayatollah Seyed Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini (May 17, 1900–June 3, 1989) was a Muslim cleric and Marja, and the political leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran which overthrew Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran. Following the Revolution, Imam Khomeini became Grand Leader of Iran—the paramount figure in the political system of the new Islamic Republic— until his demise.

“Iran cannot survive without Islam. I have extra love for Islam. All Islamic nations say if they don’t think of Islam first nothing would be left for them, and now we’re being oppressed because of Islam. If Iran hadn’t raised the banner of Islam, we would have been oppressed so much, so many times,” he said.

Min. Farrakhan also went to the Holy City of Qom, one of the largest cities in Iran. Qom is the capital of Qom Province, about 87 miles south of Tehran.

He met with Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi. “I am so honored to be here in Qom again. I was here 22 years ago as a guest of President Rafsanjani; and I spoke here in Qom at the school, and was very well received,” said Min. Farrakhan. “My dear Excellency: I come from a people numbering now between 40-50 million Black people, descendants of Africa, who were the victims of great deceit, and brought into the Western Hemisphere to be made slaves. The slave masters and the slave makers knew that we were Muslims; and as long as we were Muslims they knew they could not make a permanent slave of us, so they took the children… .

“And when our fathers would pray, making supplication to Allah The Most High, they did not want any of the slaves to grow up with the name of Allah on our lips and in our hearts, so they took away our names, stripped us of our language, stripped us of the knowledge of our own history. And as a tree without roots is dead, so a people without the knowledge of their history are also dead. They made us slaves, chattel slaves, for 310 long years; and when we were emancipated, we have lived under 150 more years of the tyranny of White supremacy, second class citizenship, hung up on trees, burned at the stake, deprived of the human right to know.  And anyone who taught us how to read, among the White people, was punished.

“We did not know, Excellency, that we were fulfilling prophecy. It is written in the Bible that Allah was speaking to Abraham, and He told Abraham that his seed would be a stranger in a land that was not theirs, and they would serve a strange people, and they would be afflicted in that strange land for 400 years. But after that time, Allah said to Abraham: ‘I will come, and I will judge that nation which they shall serve. And afterwards, I will bring them out with great substance,’ and we would go to our fathers in peace.

“A man came to us—a man from Arabia, born in Mecca in 1877: His mother was Caucasian from the Caucasus Mountain region … And his [father’s] name. Alphonse, he produced a son very, very light skinned, like some of you here that look White, but He was not a Caucasian.  This was done so that He could come into America to retrieve his children without observation.  He came in and out of America from 1910 to 1930. He visited every inhabited part of our planet.  He spoke 16 different languages, and could write 10 of them. He studied and extracted the language of the people on Mars, and he taught us of life on seven of the inhabited planets in our universe.

“In 1930, He met my teacher whose name was ‘Elijah Poole.’ And Elijah asked him, ‘Who are you?’  He said: ‘I am Mahdi. I came to guide you to the straight path of Allah, that you may be successful.’

“He gave us new names. The name that my teacher gave me, ‘Farrakhan,’ is from this part of the world—there is a whole village in southern Iran named Farrakhan. He (Elijah Muhammad) told me he had many ‘Ali’s,’ many ‘Muhammad’s, but he only had one ‘Farrakhan.’ His teacher, Master Fard Muhammad, knew me from my birth. I was born in 1933, but from 1933 to this very day he has been my guide, and through Elijah Muhammad, he was my teacher. And one day when I was with my teacher, he said to me, ‘Brother, I did not make you.’ I said, ‘Oh, yes you did, Dear Apostle.’ He said, ‘No, I did not make you. Allah made you for me.’ You’ll find this written in the Qur’an in Surat-al Ta-Ha, when Musa (or Moses) prayed to Allah for a helper that would share his task. Moses said, ‘Loosen the knot in my tongue that they may understand my words, and expand my breast for me,’ and Allah said to Moses, ‘Your petition is answered.’

“I grew up as a Christian, but when I met Elijah Muhammad I realized that Islam was not my religion, Islam is my nature. And no one can make me a Muslim, I was born that but did not know that Islam was my religion.”

The Grand Ayatollah said, “You have gone the path straight. And you will have a great future.  And you will, inshallah, the oppressed Blacks of America, help them get their rights back from the oppressors.”

“Because we all believe oppression will not last.  Thus, sooner or later, will be all taken off,” he said.

NOI News Release

Minister Louis Farrakhan
NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE HONORABLE ELIJAH MUHAMMAD AND THE NATION OF ISLAM

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE BENEFICENT, THE MERCIFUL.

Statement from the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan
regarding his trip to Iran and message to Iran and America

[Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam, a U.S.-based religious movement, recently traveled to Iran and spoke to Iranian students and others. Below is a statement he issued regarding that trip and correcting false and inflammatory media reports.]

TEHRAN, Iran (Nov. 7, 2018) - I am not and have never been an enemy to America, nor the people of America. However, I love America enough to speak unpleasant truths that are in the best interests of an erring nation that perhaps she may change her conduct and course. I have an abiding love for the right to free speech, the right to a free press and the right every human being has to hear the truth. It is only truth spoken in season that can bring us what we desire of freedom, justice, equality and, ultimately, peace.

I was invited to Tehran University to speak to students and engage in a dialogue with Iranian students. I was also invited to meet with other members of Iranian society for discussions about their concerns for their nation and concerns about world affairs, in particular the sanctions placed on Iran by President Donald Trump and his advisors.

I never led a chant that called for the death of America or Israel, contrary to misreporting in U.S., British and Jewish publications and the intentional, malicious and false reinterpretation of my words. There is nothing more important than truth today. The truth of anyone and anything is enough to condemn any individual or institution. But to make media mischief by altering my words from their places is a betrayal of the right to free speech, the blessing of a free press and a violation of the people’s right to know. It is wrong and shameful that journalists and news organizations that should seek the truth would traffic in such lies.

I never led a chant calling for death to America. To say otherwise is a blatant falsehood and an attempt to paint me as an enemy in a very dangerous time as tension rises between America and Iran and nations around the earth reject unjust sanctions and heavy-handed U.S. foreign policy. I asked a question about how to pronounce the chant in Farsi during my meeting with Iranian students and an examination of the video shows just that. My point was to engage students in a talk about what gives a nation perpetuity versus that which undermines and destroys a nation. Evil, falsehood and violation of divine law doom nations to destruction, and the holy books of the world’s three greatest monotheistic religions warn us of such. So if Iran is moving as a nation to obey God’s law, to respect and educate women and to pursue righteousness, she is on a right course. And, if America has violated the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for the indigenous people and destroyed them, and if she has done the same for the Black and the Poor, America has not only violated Constitutional principles, she has disobeyed divine law and stands to be judged by God for her wrongdoing. And, American democracy, unfortunately, has always leaned toward and protected the interests of the White, the Rich and the Powerful.

So to stand with Iran against unjust sanctions and mass punishment is to stand in the proper place. To warn America that these sanctions—which have been rejected by the European Union, France, Britain, Germany, Russia, China and other countries—are wrong is to stand in the proper place. I am trying to help America face the error of her ways and see the enmity she is sparking across the globe alongside a growing loss of friendship. This is not good for America, nor the world and only marches us steadily to acrimony, conflict and the final war of Armageddon spoken of in the bible. America can no longer act unilaterally in the world and be successful. Success can only come from righting old wrongs and purposing just and progressive policies.

Some 40 years ago, Iranian students threw off the yoke of American domination through the overthrow of the Shah of Iran, a brutal dictator and tool of U.S. foreign policy. While the Iranians have problems to solve, as do every nation and people on earth, they are a proud and independent people. They do not wish to be under the thumb of America again. As I said several times in Tehran, the U.S. sanctions are a mistake. And, while dialogue should be a good thing, the U.S. has a history of lying and breaking her commitments. To survive, America must turn away from yesterday’s policies, go forward in a new spirit and seek a new direction.

America will never be undone by the angry chants of Iranians, or others who suffer under U.S. foreign policy. No foreign enemy will destroy America, but she faces divine judgment from God Himself. She faces an internal rot with her huge fiscal deficits, her fractured political system, her ugly political and public discourse, her frayed social networks, her rejection of spiritual values and a penchant for violence and mass shootings. She is a troubled nation. Her leadership is spiritually blind to the hour at hand and it appears as though they have the hearts of beasts.

Despite U.S. efforts to foment disunity and rebellion inside of Iran, the Iranian people may not be as gullible as America believes. Iranians have the right to resolve their own problems without outside interference, just as the U.S. has claimed its right to conduct elections free of Russian influence. Self-determination is a right of every nation.

The Muslim World needs unity and must find the path to reconciliation despite efforts to pit Muslims against one another. Satan seeks to divide Muslims and wants them to kill each other, while Allah God tells us in the Quran to be united.

It is also shameful that my visit to Iran was used by political hucksters and cynics to try to affect the recent political elections in the United States. The demonization of Louis Farrakhan will not solve serious U.S. problems and will not heal serious political and social divisions. So despite Donald Trump Jr.’s call for Democrats to disavow me and unjust criticism of me from some Democrats who reject me based on lies and political expediency, America needs a clear warner, who will speak the truth without compromise and without fearing the censure of any censurer. I am neither Right, Left nor Center. I stand on the side of Truth and wherever the Truth may be found. No political party or political leader has an exclusive lock on the Truth. They should stand for Truth whatever the Truth brings. Standing on truth is what will bring America perpetuity and if she refuses to change, she is destined for days of suffering and sorrow.

When God raises a Warner in a powerful nation, it is a blessing and a mercy. But rarely do the powerful rulers of such nations see the Warner or the Warning as valuable until it is too late. May Allah bless the powerful ones in America and those who control America to heed this warning. Medicine often has a slightly bitter taste but when taken in the proper dosage medicine can bring about a healing. The United States, a sin-sick nation, needs a healing and Allah God is offering a healing today provided that His guidance is followed and his Warner is heard.

The choice, however, remains with the American people and those who are in leadership. May Allah God bless this people and nation to make the proper choice.

None of the content or spirit of the message was changed. We urge our readers to carefully examine and digest these powerful and enlightening words.)

I listened very carefully.  What is so sad is that our first fight is with ourselves.  The enemy that we must overcome is the Enemy of Self.  If we were not prone to be deceived by our desires, Satan outside of us could never attract the Satan within ourselves.

So we must never forget that Allah the Most High knows that among the sheep there are wolves that are in sheep’s clothing.  Sometimes they’re in our families, sometimes we’re sleeping in bed with Shaitan.  So today we have to train our ears to listen to our own thoughts and analyze where those thoughts are coming from.

The last two chapters of the Qur’an are the chapters of refuge.  I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn from the evil of created things or the mischief that Satan makes with created things.  Food we need but Satan now is seeking to control the production of food to kill us by what we eat and what we drink and what we think.

So I believe that Allah is going to separate from among us those that don’t belong with us.  The Qur’an says set your face for religion being upright the nature made by Allah.  And it says set your face being upright because among us everybody is not striving to be upright.  We’re upright today and downright tomorrow because of circumstances.

So Allah is creating circumstances that will make manifest those that are among us who don’t belong there.  So the house has to be cleansed from within.  Not the West, you will never defeat the West unless you defeat the ideas of the West that are inside of ourselves through our sending our children there to be educated; sending our people to learn their way.  But in their way there is a subtle poison.

So the Excellency is right, Allah is going to make us triumphant.  Allah wants to know who of us (we say we are Muslims) really will answer our oath: My prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah.

So in the 29th Surah, Allah says do men think that they will be left alone on saying we believe and will not be tried as Allah tried those before usSo that He may know those of us who are truthful from those of us who are liars.  That’s not in America, that’s right here in Iran among us.  It’s not outside the Nation of Islam.  It’s inside the Nation of  Islam that we have to be purified of that which the enemy uses to overcome the ideas of God.  So we are being tried.

All of us are not going to make it.  But those who are sincere and committed will rise.  Then we are able to face the world of disbelievers because we have been cleansed.  So Satan is talking to Allah when he says respite me ‘til the day when they are raised and Allah says surely you are of the respited ones.  Then Satan comes back at Allah … because you have judged me as erring, or off the path, I am going to lie in wait for them in thy straight path.  Satan isn’t waiting in the White House.  Satan is right in the path of Allah.

That’s the blessing for Satan that he can make those who say they are Muslims turn back on their faith; that’s our first fight. And Allah says to Satan in other words go ahead you will get all (not some) all except my purified ones.  So Allah is involved in our purification and we have to let Allah purify our hearts that we won’t be shown up like some of those that were right around late Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi.  We used to go through them to get to see our brother.  And, in the end, they turned on him.

Some in the revolution, I can’t remember that man’s name, very intelligent.  He rose to the top, but he was found to be more on the other side than with Imam Khomeini.  I can’t call his name, but he rose very high, but he was shown up to be false.

I pray that Allah will guide us and bless us to win the war against ourselves and be of His purified ones that Satan can’t deceive.  Thank you so much for receiving us, thank you for your words.  I want you to know that totally I agree we will be the winners.

When you said Islam is going to win we’re being persecuted because of  Islam, then what is Islam?  It is the Will of God that we submit ourselves to.  So we have to check ourselves.  Our Teacher taught us every time we come to the Mosque, we are searched before we can enter into the Mosque.  We have to go through a security check.  That’s to teach us—everybody that says As-Salaam Alaikum (Peace be unto you) is not a Muslim.  Satan knows how to pray.  He deceives many by knowing all the prayers.  We can’t allow ourselves to be deceived by an outward show of righteousness.  …

Thank you for reminding me of the Prophet’s words. When I was in Iraq, they were talking about they wanted a Jihad for Saddam Hussein because the Americans were about to attack.  And they asked me; my assistant said you have to speak, 750 Uleema (scholars) were in Bagdad.  I said brother I don’t want to talk but he said you must speak for this one.

I listened to him and sitting on the front row were the Uleema with big beards and they were pulling their beards and Iraq’s second in command was sitting next to the Mullahs.  And, I said, “sir, with all due respect Jihad is not for Saddam, Jihad is for Allah.”

You don’t go all out fighting for somebody that’s a temporary ruler that may be right today and wrong tonight.  We go to war for Allah who is never wrong at any time.  And then we said to them … now the troops are in Kuwait they are ready to come across now to fight.  And Brother Saddam, bless him, he was telling how he was going to win … .  I said, why don’t you empower me?  Let me go back to America and ask the president to hold off the American warriors while the Muslims settle their differences.

You’re an Uleema.  The Prophet is not here so when Muslims have a disagreement do we go to the president of the United States to settle our differences?  Would you go to an infidel, an unbeliever?  What do we have scholars for?  Why do we send them to school to study Islam? So, we can solve our own problems among ourselves.

That’s why the Council of Expediency is so important because it is expedient that we solve the problems between us as Muslims.  We have to do it.  Conflict resolution between us; we can’t win if the hardliners and the soft liners and the no liners are arguing with each other.  We have to take the soft liners and make them hard.  We have to come together you said it; unity is the only thing that will make us victorious.  …

Mohsen Rezaee, secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council:  Just the way you speak you speak so well I could sit here for several hours listening to you.

Min. Farrakhan:  Al-humdulillah. (Praise Be to Allah.)  “We’re fighting for Islam and we will surely win.”  That’s our song that we sing.  “With our Saviour, Allah the Universal King.”  …

Mr. Rezaee:  For the sacrifice that you made for coming here is a sacrifice for Allah, I appreciate that very much.

Min. Farrakhan:  Thank you.  I was telling a brother that while I was on the plane coming to Doha, Qatar, and I was in this little cubbyhole in the business section and it’s private because we could close a little door and I was making a prayer.  And it was as if Allah was telling me that I’m coming here at the right time and giving me words to say.  I began weeping so hard that my body was trembling because I wasn’t so sure that this was the right time for me to be here.  But Allah was comforting me, making me to know that there is no better time for me to be here than the time when my brother is suffering.  Why shouldn’t I be here, to be with my brother as he’s going through something?

So in closing dear brother, I know that they’re going to put very harsh sanctions on Iran and it’s going to make it very difficult.  As you said, they have been persecuting Islam since the revolution started.  Now it’s worse because they have not been able to defeat the revolution.

So the Believers, the Muslims, the people of Iran have to be inspired to make the most sacrifices that they’re going to have to make.  So that we can get through the sanctions and America does not win with a sanction that will create upset with the people who are being deprived of some necessities.  I’m honored to be here at this time.  I already know that I may be charged with sedition and treason and I already know that we will be persecuted if war comes.  I already told the government if you fight Iran, we cannot help you to kill our own believing brothers and sisters.

And that means that we will be persecuted more, and may go to prison.  But we are sure we’re going to win, we’re very positive.  And what Allah may guide me to say from Tehran, they put sanctions on you. But Allah is bringing Judgment against America.  And I will state these judgments that our teacher taught us. The Mahdi said, America is number one on His list to be destroyed.

A man can’t talk like that if he doesn’t have power to back up his words; he shouldn’t be believed.  Watch what is happening to America and the world with weather.  You said Allah doesn’t need these little cheap weapons to fight with.  He fights with rain, hail, snow, earthquakes, wind, fire, and freezing cold.  Allah has destroyed nations with gnats.  Just a bug—you can’t fight Allah and win.

After I give a lecture, I tell the people to watch the weather and then I leave.  I’m going to say it again when I leave here, watch the weather and see what Allah is going to do inside and outside of America.  Allah is with us if we are with Him.  We’re going to win because it is Allah’s Will that truth triumph over evil and falsehood … and I won’t say Inshallah. I say we’re going to win because it is the Will of Allah that we are victorious.  Thank you so much.
